The annual festival took place over the weekend. Activities for all the family took place with a festival dance on Saturday night where the Rose of Castleconnor was held. Judges Gerry Guthrie, Annie Mae Reape and Con O'Meara had a very difficult job but eventually decided on Martina Naughton from Carns representing Barnes Kelly milk products.

Afterwards Gerry Guthrie played a great set and this was followed by Pats country roadshow until the wee hours.

The volunteers were up early for the 5k run/walk with the proceeds going to the North West hospice. The vintage car/tractor/cycle rally took place and finished as the kids amusements area was ready for use.

A large crowd surrounded the tvs for the hurling semifinal after which Betsy the cos was let off into the field and unlike last year took care of business in 15 short minutes. After measurements were taken the 8x€50 consolation prizes and the 8x€200 prizes were revealed. Finally the winner of the cow pat square was Isobel Hanley of Carns who took home the €1000 prize.

Thanks to all the patrons, supporters, suppliers, parishioners and all the volunteers who made this years festival a resounding success.
