The team had their first outing on Easter Sunday morning with a trip to Aclare. With 18 lads not available due to the Benson cup final on the following day. Tourlestrane had the similar situation with a Kiernan cup final the following day. However all those on the pitch put in an honest hours work.

The home team were quicker out of the blocks and lead by 0-4 v 0-0. Coming near the half time break Stevie Curley put a score on the board and this was followed with an excellent goal from Paul Sweeney after excellent workd from Eoin Flynn, John Cullen and Vinny Howley. Soon after the half time whistle went with the teams level at 0-4 v 1-1.

The second half saw the home team stretch their advanatage and they eventually broke through for a goal. However this was followed by a fortunate goal from Stevie Kilgallon. From the kickout Paul Sweeney was unlucky with a goal bound effort that would have levelled the scores. Despite points from Eoin Flynn  and Ciaran Kilcullen we were unable to stem the Tourlestrane tide and a late goal from the home team meant we went down 2-13 v 2-3

Team: John O'Regan, Ronan Carrabine, Darragh Gilmartin, Frank Barrett, Alan Naughton, Ronan Barrett, John Cullen, Stephen Kilgallon(1-0), Stephen Curley(0-1), Ciaran Kilcullen(0-1), Eoin Flynn(0-1), Patrick Cleary, Vincent Howley, Paul Sweeney(1-0)
