The match was played on Saturday in Quigabar. A strong breeze blew into the Enniscrone end and we were against it in the first half.

We played very well from the first whistle with Michael Langan playing his first game in 2 months controlling the game and Kevin McDonnell having a stormer at centre back. Eamon Cawley scored 3 long range frees and Stevie Curley got his first championship point after a gift from the Farnans defence. The score at half time was 4 points a piece.

We got off to a whirlwind start to the second half with a point from Niall Judge, followed by a fisted goal from Niall after a great run from Eoin Kent. Kevin Langan got another point from play right after. All scored in the first two minutes of the half. Though we only scored twice more from Brendan Howley and Eamon Cawley we were in control of the game and Farnans scored two points at the end of the game. A nasty challenge in the last minute has left Niall Judge a major doubt for the semi final.

Team: Anthony Kilcullen, Brendan Howley, David Fox, Martin Foody, Kevin McDonnell, John McDonnell, Michael Langan, Paul Kilcullen, Eoin Flynn, Eamon Cawley, Tomás Cawley, Niall Judge, Kevin Langan, Stevie Curley. Sub: Eoin Kent
