Here is the updates on the match and teams from Frank Barrett.

Some vintage footballers as well as some current footballers in Castleconnor are coming together to play a match to raise funds for James Morrisroe. Each Player will pay €20 to the cause and spectators will be asked to donate. The match will be held at the football pitch on Saturday 28th December at 3pm. We will be looking for volunteers to play in the match. You don't have to be able to play the full game but we're trying to get as many people as possible to play for whatever length they can. There will be a great night had in the community centre afterwards with the club presentation night taking place that night also.

Teams subject to change.

The rumors are true! the managers of the teams have been finalised. Team 1 Manager is the one and only, ledgend of the tap wrench Tony Carrabine!!! We are also delighted to announce that the manager of team 2 is none other than the digging sensation himself mr......Tommy Holmes! We are also hoping to see both men in action on the day, The team-talks should be hilarious! In other news Pascal Gillard, John Tuffy and Adrian Ruane have announced their participation in the team. Also, to add to the craic of the day, there will be a live commentary by John Judge from the back of a truck on the side line, beware footballers, he will try to put you off! and finally, in an effort to make the game a sporting one, the club have decided to go out of the country to get a referee for the game. A young man in none other country than Germany will be refereeing the game....The lads name is Barry Judge. Judge being a very popular name in Bavaria!!

-Last night in Mahoneys, T Holmes was heard saying that he is changing his tactic a little. Following this he began discussions with two men Brian Howley "Crouch" and Niall Judge "Nidge" to try and bring them onto his team. After a long negotiation, terms were agreed and the two men have decided to join the team. Holmes commented after "Well i'm trying to bring the average age of the team down below 50. Some of the lads on my team have less teeth than me 2 foot bucket" Holmes then laughed heartily. In other News, Tony carrabine has procured the services of Seamus Harrison and Vincent Igoe for the day. Carrabine is believed to be happy with this but would not comment. All this follows the earlier news that Holmes had brought in more outside help in the form of Fergal Cawley, and Carrabine has convinced Declan Keane"Egg Senior" to try his hand at the game, while also adding Shane Feeney"Stork" to the panel. The teams are filling up nicely, but will they last the 60 minutes??? Other deals are being struck, and some behind the scenes action is planned. Stay tuned for further updates because you will only here the news exclusively right here!!
