U8/U10

Our teams were visitors to Knockmore on Wednesday evening when all had a great time and showed off great team ethics and skillsets. A great evening was had by all

U12 hurling

We were away to league leaders Naomh Eoin last Tuesday evening in Sligo and despite a strong performance we came up short to the competition favourites 9 v 5. Benbulben Gaels are visitors to Corballa this day week

Schools football

Congratulations and best of luck to the Corballa NS boys team and mentors who have reached the Sligo county final for 4/5 teacher schools. The final is next Sunday in Markievicz Park. Bring it home lads

U14 hurling

It was a proud evening for the club last Friday when 5 lads (it would have been 6 except Stephen Rogan was away to Abbottstown in Dublin to represent Sligo in the All Ireland Feilé skills competition) played for Sligo in their Connacht games versus Mayo and Galway. Well done to all involved especiall Cian Flynn, Dáire Flynn, Seán Donnegan, Lee Gilmartin and William Foody. A few pics of the lads and supporters

Junior football

The team had a busy few days last week with games against Owenmore Gaels on Wednesday evening and away to Calry on Saturday evening. In both games we started well however after that we succumbed in both cased losing by 10 points both times. This Friday evening the team have a home game v Coolaney/Mullinabreena at 8pm

Intermediate

The team had a very productive challenge versus Ardnaree last weekend. This weekend with Sligo playing on Saturday there is a Benson cup fixture on Sunday at 1pm in Corballa.

U14 football

We received a walkover from Easkey last week in the league but play them tomorrow in a challenge at home. We await clarification on the league ssemifinals after finishing 3rd in the league.

County matters

Well not a good day for our Mayo club members on Sunday so for the second year both Sligo and Mayo are on the qualifier track early. In fact we can meet again later in the championship.

In the preceeding game on Sunday Barry Judge and his band of merry umpires officiated at the Galway v Mayo U17 Connacht semi final in very very windy Sunday. Umpire of the day award was presented to Doogie Kilcullen mainly for wearing a tie during the game. We even got the Sunday game background for it 😊
