U14B Shield sf: Castleconnor 4-5 v Ballymote 4-7

This game played on Monday evening was a real see saw affair with the lead changing regularly.
The visitors got off to a good start and by the halftime break were leading by 2 points.

At the start of the second half we hit a purple patch and scored two quick goals from Jack O'Hora. However we let in a soft goal right after this and our lead was down to 3 with the visitors tails up. They proceeded to cut into and take the lead but our lads kept in the game and a missed free with a minute to go was to prove costly as Ballymote went down the field to stretch the lead to two and win by the same margin.

This was a good performance from the team with the loss of Matthew Cullen proving a major handicap but strong performances from Jack O'Hora, Benny Foody and Dominic Murphy showed signs of hope for the championship
